The Electra Goat Barbecue Competition

We are not, nor likely to become the official site for the "Electra Goat Barbecue". It is a very
popular event held annually in Electra on Mother's Day weekend and not much information
is posted anywhere, so we decided to buy this domain and give you a little inside skinny
on the bbq cookoff. I really enjoy the food, atmosphere, fellowship and competition of the
entire weekend. It's almost always a little hot, windy, dusty, with many folks enjoying
themselves a little too much, but it's certainly worth the trip to Electra to visit or participate.

The Electra Chamber of Commerce is the agency that actually puts on, regulates and
schedules the events and turn in times in accordance to the "Lone Star Barbecue Society"
Yes, this is a sanctioned event and is governed by the rules of the LSBS. Full rules and
requirements are listed on their site at the above link. Past winners are also available there.
